Today we are talking about MALL.

Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) deals with the use of mobile technology in language learning. In contrast to classroom learning, in MALL there is no need for the learners to sit in a classroom or at a computer to get learning materials. In fact, MALL can be considered an ideal solution to language learning barriers in terms of time and place. In this paper by looking at some applications of m-learning as well as some examples across various aspects of it, we observe the advantages and disadvantages derived from using mobile technologies for students as well as professionals.

QRcodes in the learning process

QR code is simple and easy to use, and the number of methods of application is unlimited, it all depends on the imagination of the person. This is a very effective method of attracting children to educational and cognitive activities, because the 21st century is the age of high information technologies and most people have any tools that allow you to read this code in a matter of seconds and get detailed information about either a product or some educational and cognitive task.

Quizlet

Quizlet is an online card generator program. You can create flashcards for any subject using visual, text, and audio support.

The advantages of Quizlet for students are its multi-modal nature and its ability to adapt to all styles of learning, perception and thinking.

1. the Program is suitable for everyone, right-brain and left-brain, dark and light, for children and adults… But seriously, the program will be useful to everyone, regardless of learning styles and thinking. As you know, there are many approaches to this, and the number of styles in each of them varies. For example, in the perceptual approach (the most well-known), there are visual, auditory, tactile-kinesthetic, and written-reading types. In cognitive – competitive, collaborative, dependent, independent, solitary, etc.

2. Age adaptation. Even the smallest students compete with each other with interest (my experience has shown that 7-8-year-olds learn the program quickly enough and use it quite consciously).

3. Save time. In a short time period, you can firmly remember and fix the necessary language material.

And the most important advantage of the program: achieving the goal — in the shortest possible time, the student masters the material and solid consolidation-automation of language material.
